How will I know if we are a good fit?Building a strong therapeutic relationship is vital for an effective therapy process. Before committing to work together, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to determine if my therapeutic approach is a good fit for your needs. During our introductory chat, we can discuss your goals and whether my style would support you in achieving them. If we find we are not well-matched for some reason, I am happy to suggest other professional options.

How many sessions do I need?If your company refers you to me through the EAP pathway, we will discuss the services they offer within the program. If you contact me directly, the length of therapy will depend on the nature of your needs and goals.

How to get more urgent support?If you or someone close to you is having a mental health crisis, such as being at risk of harming yourself or others, or being unable to provide care for yourself or others, please seek emergency care immediately. In New Zealand, call 111, contact your local Mental Health Crisis Team, or present to your local emergency department. How much does therapy cost?At our first meeting we will discuss the cost of therapy sessions and the payment methods.

Where do the counselling sessions take place?Your appointment can be online or in-person. I have a counselling room available in Glenfield/Milford on the North Shore and Glen Innes.
